Privacy Policy
Moment is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what data we handle and why.
What we collect
The personal content you enter — thoughts, emotions, and body sensations — is stored locally on your device by default. If you choose to enable cloud backup or sync, this data is encrypted in transit and stored with our backend provider (Supabase).
We may also collect limited technical information to keep the app working:
- Anonymous usage events (e.g. screens visited, features used) to improve the experience
- Crash reports and error logs when something goes wrong
- Basic device information (OS version, app version) for compatibility
We do not collect contact lists, location, photos, or microphone data.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share your check-in content with advertisers or third parties for marketing.
- We do not access your private check-in content without your explicit permission.
Third-party services
Moment relies on a small number of trusted services to function:
- Supabase — authentication and (optional) cloud sync
- Apple / Google — app distribution and push notifications
- Anonymous analytics and crash reporting tools, where applicable
Each service receives only the minimum data needed to do its job.
Your control over your data
You are in control. You can:
- Export your check-ins from within the app
- Delete individual entries or your entire account
- Request a copy of any data associated with your account
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
If you uninstall the app, data stored only on your device will be deleted. Cloud-synced data is retained until you delete your account.
Children
Moment is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the app.
